THE POST-CHELATION LIFE STYLE - EDTA: A JUMP START TO GOOD HEALTH

Most chelating physicians are completely up-front with their patients. Few pretend that EDTA infusions are the total answer to complete and lasting recovery. Fewer still neglect to offer sound advice on the lifestyle changes they consider most vital. Like non-professionals, however, they all have their pet theories. Some of the doctors are exercise buffs, and sincerly believe some form of regular workout - calisthenics, aeorobics, jazzercise, rebounding, swimming, the essential component in any back-to-health program. Others prefer dietary control, and recommend some adaptation of the low-fat regimen first proposed by a non-doctor, Nathan Pritikin (an engineer). It was Pritikin, by the way, who produced the first clinical evidence that a drugless, non-surgical appoach could reverse atherosclerosis, and he did it in the face of virulent AMA and AHA objections. Both organizations, of course, have since "borrowed" his ideas, and now gratuitously present a similar dietary program, pretending it's their own. Still other doctors are convinced that boosting immune fuction by whatever means - vitamins, antioxidants, mineral supplementation - is the key. Not to leave out the doctors who stress 'stress' - and emphasize the importance of developing psychological defenses to the biological damage suffered by those whose lives are out of control.
